It’s estimated that 1.6 million people die every year from hair loss alone, but the NHS is struggling to deal with the number of cases.
The country also has the highest proportion of people living with hair loss in Europe.
The number of hair loss cases in the NHS has doubled over the last five years, with more and more cases being treated in primary care.
Simon said: We are going to have to do a lot more to try to treat the problem of hair in the health care system in the next five years.
